Chapter Philanthropy

Each year Kappa Kappa Gamma holds two different philanthropy events that benefit Reading Is Fundamental. We hold one philanthropy event each semester (Fall and Spring) and one event that is throughout the year, Reading Is Key.

Reading Is Key is held throughout the fall and spring giving multiple opportunities to our women to go to a local elementary school and read to the children in their classrooms. It is truly such an amazing experience bonding with the kids and seeing them smile makes everything we do worth it!

FALL SEMESTER

In the Fall semester we hold our Kappa Kombat philanthropy event. Kappa Kombat this year was a paintball competition including all of IFC fraternities and Panhellenic sororities. The Kappa women are team representatives and captains for all IFC and Panhellenic organizations, we help keep the moral and team spirit up throughout the event. It is a day filled with fun and excitement benefiting such an incredible cause!

SPRING SEMESTER

In the spring semester we held our first Kappa Con Queso dinner! We blocked off West Jefferson Street and held a little block party in order to raise money for Reading is Fundamental and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Tickets were open and sold to all members of the Tallahassee community as we hosted a night filled with nachos, queso and unforgettable memories. We raised more than $3,000 and the event was a huge success!
